Hay, peat and turfing spades
|
These large headed spades form an increasingly rare part of our horticultural and agricultural heritage but also have their own unique ornamental value. From right to left we have a ‘neverbend’ turfing spade, a traditional hay spade and a ‘rutter’ spade used for splitting hay bales, peat digging or drainage work. Prices are usually in the range of £12 to £22.
