Old hessian sacks

These old hessian sacks are quite sought after these days and in the past were used for storing potatoes, grain and fertiliser etc, as often indicated by the narrative on the sacks themselves. In fact in the past there was a vibrant trade in sack hire via specialist contractors, with damaged sacks being carefully repaired, before our current “use once and throw away” society took over. Prices vary from £1.00 each to £1.50 depending on both size and quality.
