These galvanised wire baskets are extremely sturdy and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. As the name suggests they were originally used for drying and storing potatoes. They have proved to be very popular as planters when used a bit like a hanging basket but placed on the ground. Another very effective idea one of our customers had was to use the basket to incorporate a few small planted terracotta pot with a collection of pebbles/cobbles. Prices of baskets are normally between £12 and £18 depending on size.
